Job summary

MBDA is seeking an enthusiastic engineer to join the Production Design Support area as Test Equipment Operational Lead. You will lead a team of Electronic Engineers supporting Test Equipment from Circuit Card to Missile and Weapon System.

You will collaborate with Heads of Equipment and Manufacturing to ensure zero downtime in production and provide both reactive and proactive design support. A BPSS-based security process is in place.

Qualifications

• Experience in a design and manufacturing environment with full design lifecycle advantageous
• Ideally degree qualified or equivalent
• Strong technical ability in Electronic Design; understanding of engineering change process and configuration management

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Test Equipment Design Support Delivery Team
• Provide proactive and reactive support to Test Equipment design issues
• Delegate issues to the relevant Support Engineer or Lead
• Offer technical and company guidance on delivery of design support
• Explore opportunities to improve Test Equipment
• Build relationships with key stakeholders within Operations and Programme
• Support the creation and implementation of Test Equipment Support processes
• Ensure robust tasking and reporting between the team and stakeholders
• Work with Head of Test Equipment Design Support to evolve the Test Equipment Support Strategy
