Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to design, develop and advance automated testing across software delivery. You will build scalable automation frameworks, create robust test data strategies, and ensure high-quality releases through rigorous validation and collaboration with development, product, and QA teams.

You will integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, contribute to QA strategy, and promote best practices in test design and code quality.

Qualifications

• Strong programming experience in Python and/or Java for test automation.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and reusable automation code.
• Experience handling test data (JSON, CSV, databases) for tests.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute test strategies to validate software quality.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for early defect detection.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to define acceptance criteria.
• Perform root-cause analysis and promote code quality via peer reviews.
