Tesco is hiring Night Shift Lead professionals in the UK. You will lead in-store teams, ensure excellent customer service, and manage night-time operations. The role offers night hours with a premium and a minimum weekly hours guarantee, while welcoming flexible working and career growth opportunities.

Be prepared to supervise across store functions, mentor colleagues, and maintain a high standard of service while adapting to changing store needs. Applicants must be 18 or older.

Tesco Shift Lead Night pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. For all hours worked between midnight and 6am you will receive an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour worked. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.

You will need

• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
• Build positive, long‑lasting relationships to create an inclusive, supportive team environment.
• A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
• A natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.
