Job summary

Tesco PLC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shift Lead to drive excellent customer service and smooth day-to-day operations across all store areas. You’ll lead colleagues, handle queries, and ensure a welcoming, inclusive environment under the Store Manager’s guidance.

With a minimum guaranteed 16 hours per week and shifts scheduled within provided windows, you’ll enjoy an hourly pay starting at £15.59, rising to £16.86 in M25 stores, plus a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
• A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.

Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.
Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks†notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we†re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.
