THE COMPANY: This is an exciting time to join a dynamic and "disruptive" manufacturer of surgical sealants, sutures, and tissue repair products. They are constantly expanding into new business areas and growing their brands and portfolio both in the UK and globally. They manufacture high-quality, cost-effective products used to treat open and intricate surgical wounds in hospitals. They have a strong presence in key teaching hospitals and NHS trusts across the UK and aim to increase their market share from larger competitors. The UK team values teamwork, product knowledge, and education, providing approved training to NHS clinicians. They are seeking a driven, enthusiastic, and sales-focused candidate to cover Scotland, driving sales across NHS and private hospital theatres and A&E departments. The role involves engaging with various hospital stakeholders, including procurement teams.

THE ROLE: The successful candidate may come from a medical device sales background with experience in theatres or other hospital departments. A desire to work in theatres and a basic knowledge of Scottish hospitals are essential. The role may also suit ODPs, theatre nurses, or candidates from clinical training or education backgrounds who are committed to sales. Full training will be provided. Responsibilities include consultative sales, facilitating product trials and evaluations, leading clinical education sessions, and building hospital relationships. Training on products and NHS sales processes will be provided as needed. Customer interactions include Theatre Managers, Theatre Nurses, Surgeons, Consultants, ODPS, A&E Nurses, and procurement teams.

THE TERRITORY: Scotland, with once per month travel to Belfast

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE:

  • High-performing medical sales professional with passion, hardworking, and comfortable with clinical environments
  • Understanding of the Scottish healthcare system and experience working with clinical and procurement departments
  • Previous experience as a theatre clinician interested in progressing into sales
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel daily to meet customers
