Territory Sales Manager – Aggregates - Fixed Term Contract
Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for building customer relationships and driving business growth? We’re looking for a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) on a fixed-term contract to manage a portfolio of accounts across a defined geographical region, specifically Kent & Sussex.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing a territory sales strategy that focuses on increasing market share (volume), growing revenue, and improving RCO profit. You’ll engage with both existing and new customers through various channels, including digital platforms, and have the opportunity to sell value-added products and services within your territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring outstanding service and support.
- Drive business growth through strategic sales initiatives.
- Develop and sell value-added products and services.
- Build strong relationships with both existing and new customers.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business success.
Key Accountabilities:
- Operate as the point of contact for assigned customers.
- Follow defined call cycles for customers and prospects, using digital media including video calls, to maintain close customer contact. Set call cycle objectives in the customer management plan (CMP).
- Assist in preparing quotes and submitting tenders.
- Participate in the preparation of annual sales budgets and forecasts for the relevant territory.
- Ensure queries are resolved within the defined timeframe, aiming for less than 3% of revenue in query at any time.
- Improve share of wallet through upselling and cross-selling at required profitability levels.
- Develop and maintain long-term commercial relationships with customer accounts, supported by a customer strategy aligned with the Market Strategy Plan (MSP).
- Ensure timely delivery of products and services by aligning sales, operations, and logistics.
- Identify market and customer needs and communicate insights to Heidelberg Materials.
- Forecast and track customer account metrics.
- Manage projects within customer relationships to meet customer goals and company objectives.
- Identify opportunities to grow business with existing and new customers in line with product line/region strategy.
- Coordinate with colleagues working on the same accounts for consistent service.
- Collaborate with other sales teams to reach prospective customers.
- Service multiple customers simultaneously, including prospects, new, and existing clients.
- Maintain records of customer transactions and interactions using systems like Brick wall, CMP, and 5 min Planner.
- Ensure account records are accurate in Heidelberg Materials Systems (CRM, SAP) and follow sales processes.
- Proactively utilize market data, including ABI, to identify profitable sales opportunities.
- Review Net Promoter Scores (NPS) to identify performance strengths and weaknesses, collaborating with colleagues to improve customer experience.
