Job summary

The Coventry Building Society is seeking a Business Development Manager to actively promote our intermediary strategy across a wide Coventry-based territory. You will build long-term broker relationships and work with high-level stakeholders to identify opportunities in the mortgage market.

This field-based role requires a consultative selling approach, strong negotiation skills, and deep knowledge of UK mortgage dynamics.

Qualifications

• Experience in mortgage intermediary sector as a Business Development Manager or account management.
• Ability to develop long-term relationships with intermediary partners.
• Strong understanding of the UK mortgage market and regulatory context.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence at senior level.

Responsibilities

• Promote the intermediary strategy across the designated territory using face-to-face and virtual engagement.
• Build and manage broker relationships to drive sustainable growth and reduce risks.
• Collaborate with broker firms and internal teams to improve mortgage applications volume and quality.
