Job summary

Exolum is seeking a Terminal Controller for its Eastham site to ensure safe receipt, dispatch and transfer of client products. You will enforce safety, environmental, and site rules while coordinating drivers and terminal staff.

The role requires strong procedural discipline, the ability to respond calmly to alarms, and occasional lone working in varied weather. A trades background with mechanical/electrical knowledge is preferred and training may require travel to other terminals.

Qualifications

• Candidates should follow written procedures and respond calmly to alarms.
• Industry experience in fuel terminal processes is preferred.
• Trades background with maths, English and science at school level is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Exolum safety and environmental policies.
• Be familiar with On Site Emergency Plan requirements.
• Act as Traffic Controller during on and off site emergencies.
• Supervise receipt and dispatch of product to road vehicles.
• Ensure drivers comply with site safety rules on loading bays.
• Prepare shipping lines before operations.
• Operate site weighbridges as required.
• Assist Senior Terminal Controller in duties.
• Carry out Planned Maintenance inspections.
• Report damaged or worn equipment promptly.
• Site housekeeping and compliance with COMAH requirements.
• Conform to company policies and procedures.
• Champion safety and staff wellbeing.
