Job summary

Valero Pembrokeshire Oil Storage Terminal (VPOT) is seeking a Terminal Operator with extensive operational experience to oversee safe discharge/export of petroleum products and inventory movement. You will work within the Operations team, handling permits, maintenance tasks and alarm responses, while ensuring a safe site for employees and contractors.

The role requires strong IT skills, the ability to read risk assessments, and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years operational experience.
• Computer literacy with relevant IT experience.
• Experience with safety regulations and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe discharge and export of petroleum products via jetties.
• Monitor product movements and inventory at the terminal.
• Review risk assessments and method statements.
• Issue electronic work permits for maintenance staff and contractors.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks and alarms management.
• Perform site inspections and process monitoring to ensure safety.
