Job summary

World Fuel Services in Gibraltar seeks a Terminal Controller to lead terminal operations on shift, coordinating safe receipt, storage and transfer of fuels and ensuring compliance with SOPs. You will manage a high-performing team, drive safety culture, and act as the primary escalation point for incidents.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a heavy operational environment, with experience in fuel terminals or bulk liquids, and strong risk and HSSEQ capabilities to sustain performance on

Qualifications

• Experience in fuel terminal, marine, or bulk liquid operations.
• Proven supervisory or shift leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of HSSEQ frameworks.
• Ability to lead incidents and coordinate responses.

Responsibilities

• Act as Shift Leader, overseeing terminal operations to ensure safe and efficient performance.
• Allocate resources and workloads across the shift based on demand.
• Lead, coach, and develop Terminal Operators to maintain high performance.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues and decisions.
• Oversee receipt, storage, and transfer of fuel products, including vessel operations.
• Monitor tank inventories, temperatures, and blending activities; support stock reconciliation.
• Lead Control of Work, permit to work, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Maintain shift logs, KPIs, and collaborate with planning and engineering teams.
