Job summary

World Fuel Services at Luton Airport is seeking an Aircraft Refuelling Operator to ensure the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of aviation fuel to aircraft, helping keep flights on schedule. You’ll be part of a high-performing team that operates to the highest SSHE standards, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include handling, storing and transporting fuel, performing into‑plane refuelling, recording movements, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining safety

Qualifications

• LGV Class 1 licence and 2+ years' experience required.
• Fuel tanker experience is a strong advantage.
• Live within 45 minutes of Luton Airport.
• Able to pass airport security clearance and background checks.
• Willingness to work a 24-hour shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle, store, and transport aviation fuel
• Conduct into-plane refuelling in line with procedures
• Accurately record fuel movements and transactions
• Deliver exceptional customer service as the first point of contact
• Follow emergency procedures and maintain safety protocols
• Input operational data into the i6 system and daily reconciliations
• Support vehicle and manpower planning
• Maintain training and competency in all fuel handling procedures

You’ll be part of a high-performing team that operates to the highest standards of Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE), with full training and support provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely handle, store, and transport aviation fuel
• Conduct into-plane refuelling in line with company procedures
• Accurately record fuel movements and transactions
• Deliver exceptional customer service as the first point of contact
• Follow emergency procedures and maintain safety protocols
• Input operational data into the i6 system and complete daily reconciliations
• Support vehicle and manpower planning
• Maintain training and competency in all fuel handling procedures

What You’ll Need

• LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with 2+ years’ experience
• Fuel tanker experience (refuelling experience is a strong advantage)
• Live within 45 minutes of Luton Airport
• Able to pass airport security clearance , including a criminal record check
• Flexible approach to working hours within a 24 hour shift plan.
• Willingness to cover holidays and sickness working overtime
• Basic numeracy, English language and IT/data entry skills
• Strong safety awareness and a customer-focused mindset
