Job summary

The Crossways Schools in Thornbury are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join the EYFS team. You will support both whole classes and individual children, with a 12 hours 30 minutes per week schedule during term time including INSET days.

A recognised TA qualification (NVQ level 2) and experience with children, including SEND, are required. You will demonstrate solid literacy and numeracy, work without supervision, and give accurate feedback to teachers regarding progress and needs.

Qualifications

• Recognised Teaching Assistant qualification equivalent to NVQ level 2.
• Experience of working with children as a TA in a school.
• Experience with SEND and with individuals and groups.
• Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to give accurate feedback to teachers on progress.

Responsibilities

• Support both whole classes and individual children within the EYFS team.
• Communicate effectively with pupils to address individual needs and development.
• Work without supervision and provide feedback to teachers on progress.
