Job summary

The Crescent Primary School in Croydon is seeking an experienced SEND teaching assistant to support a SEND teacher within our Enhanced Learning Provision. The role is term-time only (39 weeks) and 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:45–15:15.

You will work with children with Mild Learning Difficulties, guided by the SENDCo and Class teacher, ensuring high quality learning and progress for named pupils. This is a supportive team setting with CPD opportunities and safeguarding focus.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting.
• Ability to follow guidance from SENDCo and class teachers.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality teaching assistant support under supervision of the class teacher and SENDCo.
• Support named pupils and monitor progress to help maximise learning outcomes.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards and a positive learning environment.
• Assist with planning, preparation and classroom activities as directed by the teacher.
