Priestlands School is seeking Teaching Assistants to join the SEND team for term-time and 30 hours per week. The role suits students, career changers, or those seeking classroom experience, with a focus on supporting learning for a class of 30 pupils.

Essentially you should enjoy building rapport with students and helping them learn. GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent are required. Applicants will undergo standard pre-employment checks and safeguarding steps.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at minimum grade C (or equivalent).
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous, but the ability to work with a class of 30 teenagers calmly is valued.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within the SEND team in classroom and learning support centre.
• Assist with planning and delivering activities to aid learning and access to work.
• Provide a calm, supportive presence to help students engage and succeed.
