Job summary

Biggin Hill Primary School, part of Horizon Academy Trust, seeks an Achievement Support Assistant to support pupils with communication needs/ ASD. The role is 32.5 hours weekly during term time, permanent contract, Grade 4, SCP 7-9 (£20,141–£20,790).

You will assist with IEPs/Behaviour Plans, promote positive behaviour and liaise with safeguarding and SEND staff. A dedicated team and excellent training are offered.

Qualifications

• Have extensive experience working with SEND pupils.
• Promote good pupil behaviour and deal promptly with conflicts in line with school procedures.
• Support the academic, social, emotional and developmental learning of individuals and groups of pupils.
• Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessary.
• Liaise closely with appropriate staff regarding safeguarding, behaviour, SEND needs and wellbeing issues.
• Provide feedback to pupils on progress towards academic, social, behavioural and learning skills.
• Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning.
