Job summary

Horbury Academy is seeking a committed SEN Learning Mentor to join the support team. You will deliver tailored interventions for pupils with Special Educational Needs, planning programmes for individuals and small groups, with a focus on literacy, numeracy, and overall academic progress.

You will also provide pastoral support to enhance wellbeing, engagement and inclusion, and work with staff and external agencies to enable pupils to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
• NVQ Level 3 qualification or demonstrable relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions to pupils with SEN to reach learning goals.
• Plan and lead tailored programmes for individuals and small groups.
• Provide effective pastoral support to promote wellbeing and inclusion.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to support pupils.
