Job summary

Chellaston Academy is seeking a LearningMentor in Connect to support students at risk of permanent exclusion, delivering academic and pastoral help through in-class support, small-group work and targeted literacy/numeracy interventions.

You will plan and lead structured sessions, collaborate with teaching and pastoral teams, and help students build resilience and engagement in a calm, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs and safeguarding.
• Ability to work flexibly, supervise and support students in various settings.
• Strong organisational skills and commitment to high standards of behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and pastoral support to students at risk of exclusion.
• Lead structured sessions and targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy.
• Work with teaching staff and pastoral teams to remove barriers to learning and promote engagement.
