Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting for a SEMH role at a Horley campus. You will support students aged 5 to 16, providing personal care and a trauma-informed approach to help pupils feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 16:30, term-time only, with holidays completely free. A driving licence and access to a car are required for the remote campus setting in Horley.

Qualifications

• Providing personal care for students aged 5 to 16.
• At least 3–6 months of experience in a similar educational or care environment.
• Holding a full driving licence and access to a car for a remote location campus.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Understanding or training in a trauma-informed approach to support.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to get one.
• Permanent right to work in the UK (no sponsorship/Visa support).

Responsibilities

• Support students aged 5 to 16 with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Provide essential personal care for students across the age range.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to help pupils feel safe and ready to learn.
• Help build a positive, supportive environment for every child.
