Active Assistance is seeking a dedicated School Support Worker in Shrewsbury to support a 17-year-old female client with complex health needs at her school. The role follows term-time only, Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 3.15pm, and involves learning her communication aids and supporting therapies including swimming.

You will be part of a stable care team, receive specialist training, and access ongoing support from a Care Manager. A genuine occupational requirement means the role is female-led.

Formación

• Experience supporting individuals with complex health needs is preferred.
• Willingness to learn communication aids and work with a wheelchair user.
• Ability to engage and keep a client stimulated during school hours.

Responsabilidades

• Support the client at school during term-time hours.
• Assist with personal care and insulin administration as required.
• Learn and apply her communication aids and therapies.
• Participate in swimming therapy sessions as part of care.
