Job summary

Active Assistance in Swindon is seeking a part-time care assistant to support a 17-year-old client with cerebral palsy and autism at home and in the community. You will join a stable care team, focusing on growing independence and daily activities, with rotas planned in advance.

The role offers weekday day shifts, term-time evenings, and longer Friday shifts, with a flexible zero-hours contract and ongoing professional support from leaders in Children's Care. Training and DBS check provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Experience in care or support roles is beneficial.
• Commitment to supporting a young person to maintain independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekday day shift support for a 17-year-old client in Swindon.
• Help the client access the community and complete daily activities.
• Assist with reading, gaming, music, and wheelchair basketball activities.
• Follow care plans and rotas with the care team.
• Support during school holidays with increased hours.
