Job summary

Caterlink is seeking a Chef Manager at Co-op Academy Hamilton to deliver nutritionally balanced meals during term-time. You will manage daily operations, supervise school-based teams and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

The role offers 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only with no weekends. You will work closely with the client to drive improvements and meet KPIs while supporting training and performance across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience leading food service teams in a catering or school setting.
• Ability to manage budgets and inventories to meet targets.
• Knowledge of health, safety and food hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure health and safety, food safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintain Caterlink's reputation for quality and service with the client.
• Run day-to-day location operations and supervise teams, inventories and budgets.
• Be the main contact for the school client and implement improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with your line manager.
• Train teams and lead performance through hands-on coaching.
