Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking a Relief General Kitchen Assistant to work across Plasnewydd and other schools within the service. You will help prepare, present and serve school meals, and maintain a safe, clean dining environment for pupils and staff.

Applicants must hold a Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate and be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check. The role is term-time, with hours from 10:00 to 14:30, Monday to Friday, across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
• Willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS check
• Ability to work at multiple schools across the county borough

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals
• Help maintain a safe, clean dining environment for pupils and staff
• Set up dining tables and chairs; operate touch screen where required (training provided)
