Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking Relief General Kitchen Assistants to support Bettws Primary School and other schools across the county. You will assist in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals, ensuring a safe, clean environment for pupils and staff.

Hours are between 10.00am and 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only; training provided for DBS checks and Level Two Food Hygiene certificate if needed.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is required or training provided to obtain it.
• DBS check required (Enhanced with Childrens Barred list).
• Experience in general kitchen or school meals is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for pupils and staff; lay out dining furniture.
