Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is recruiting a General Kitchen Assistant to support the provision of school meals across 56 schools in the county borough.

You will help prepare, present and serve meals, keep a safe, clean dining environment, lay tables and chairs, and may use a touch screen terminal (training provided). A Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate is required, with DBS clearance (enhanced) as part of the post.

Qualifications

• Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate held or training to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for pupils and staff.
• Lay out dining tables and chairs; operate touch screen terminals in some schools (training provided).
• Cover at schools across the county borough as required; enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List is required.
