Job summary

Aspens Services, a leading school catering provider, is hiring a Catering Assistant in Hockley to support our kitchen with basic food preparation and to deliver friendly service during the lunchtime rush.

The role runs Monday to Friday during term time, about 25 hours per week across 38 weeks, at £13.48 per hour. Training is provided, with DBS disclosure required to safeguard children, and prior catering or fast-paced service experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Team player with ability to work in a busy service environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification is great, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer interaction on tills during service with training provided.
• Front-line service to students and staff with a friendly approach.
• Assist the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintain a safe, clean kitchen and health and safety compliance.
