Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd is a market-leading contract caterer specialising in school food. We are looking for a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen with basic food preparation and to deliver excellent service that keeps the lunchtime rush running smoothly.

You’ll work Monday to Friday during school term time (5 hours per week, 37.4 weeks per year) at £12.71 per hour. Full training is provided for tills and health and safety, with DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is great, but training can be provided.
• Team player who enjoys working in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Customer interaction: working on the tills during service.
• Front-line service to students and staff.
• Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining a safe, clean kitchen and health & safety compliance.
