Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd is seeking a passionate Chef for our school catering teams. You’ll craft healthy, nutritious and engaging menus for students and staff, delivering high-quality food with leadership and creativity.

Lead a kitchen, supervise the team, and ensure strict Health and Safety and Food Hygiene compliance (Level 2 & 3). Work Monday to Friday during term-time (35 hours/week, 39 weeks/year) at £18.27/hour. DBS disclosure will be sought as part of safeguarding commitment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a catering environment with fresh ingredients.
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
• Certification in Food Hygiene Level 2 & 3 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Menu Excellence: Expert preparation of menus using fresh ingredients and craft skills.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Safety Champion: Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene, Allergen, and Health and Safety regulations.
• Excellent Hospitality: Manage and deliver high-quality hospitality for school clients and events.
• Building Community: Develop strong relationships with school clients and students.
