Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking an ambitious Chef Manager to take full operational and financial responsibility for your school’s catering facility. This role goes beyond the kitchen and requires a visionary leader who can consistently deliver high quality food and service, elevating the dining experience and helping to establish this as one of the region’s best school catering offers.

You’ll manage costs, lead a kitchen team, drive menu development and ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Understanding of gross profit management and ability to meet sales targets.
• Strong culinary craft using fresh ingredients to deliver quality.
• Experience coaching and developing a high-performing kitchen team.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Financial control: manage costs, stock, food and labour.
• Lead, coach, train and inspire kitchen team.
• Oversee menu development and drive monthly promotions.
• Ensure standards, systems and legislation through audits.
