Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a friendly Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Southall, England. This full-time, term-time-only role supports Key Stage 1 and 2 and works with classroom teachers to deliver high-quality classroom assistance.

You will assist with literacy, phonics and numeracy, support SEND/EAL pupils, and help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment with DBS clearance and GCSEs in English and Maths.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 in English and Mathematics
• Strong communication skills
• Patience and a clear Enhanced DBS check

Responsibilities

• Classroom Support: Assist teachers with lesson delivery, setup and a positive learning atmosphere.
• Targeted Interventions: Lead small group literacy, phonics and numeracy activities and provide 1:1 support.
• SEN Support: Work with SENCO to implement strategies for SEND/EAL pupils.
• Pastoral Care: Promote pupil wellbeing and safe conduct throughout the day.
