Job summary

Willowbrook Primary School in Greater London is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing and development, helping to create a positive and inclusive school environment.

Working under teaching staff, you will support learning in both the classroom and small-group settings, deliver literacy and numeracy interventions, prepare resources and assist with supervision during breaks and trips.

Qualifications

• Experience working with or caring for children of a relevant age.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practice and strategies to remove barriers to learning.
• Strong communication skills, including confidence and fluency in spoken English.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to relate well to both children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils’ welfare and personal care, including those with SEND.
• Implementing literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Assisting with planning cycles and preparing learning resources.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil independence.
• Supervision during break/lunchtimes and accompany pupils on trips when required.
