Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. is seeking a Pastry Chef for a 37-week term-time contract at a Somerset site. The role involves crafting breads, cakes and desserts for lunch and hospitality, using seasonal ingredients with a fresh-from-scratch approach. Training will be provided, with opportunities for development in a busy, renowned catering context.

You will need pastry experience, strong English skills, and a team-oriented attitude to contribute to a high-standard service in a villa-like campus setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen as a Pastry Chef.
• Experience making cakes, bread and pastry from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Work well in a team producing bread, cakes and desserts for lunch service and hospitality.
• Produce food from scratch using fresh ingredients and following brand standards.
• Ensure all food hygiene and safety policies and allergen controls are followed.
• Help manage wastage and maintain high quality presentations.
