Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Street, Somerset is seeking a Pastry Chef to join our busy kitchen. You will create breads, cakes and desserts from scratch, using seasonal ingredients and developing bespoke menus alongside the team.

Experience in a fast-paced kitchen and a passion for quality pastry are essential. The role is a term-time contract (37 weeks) with work across lunch and event service, offering training and progression within a leading contract caterer.

Qualifications

• Experience as pastry chef in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Experience making cakes, breads and pastries from scratch.
• Willing to work with fresh seasonal ingredients and changing menus.
• Good verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to produce bread, cakes and desserts for lunch service.
• Prepare food from fresh ingredients, from-scratch cooking and brand standards.
• Ensure hygiene, safety and allergen procedures are followed.
• Minimise wastage and maintain food standards.
