Job summary

Cambridge Regional College is seeking a Learning Support Mentor for the Service Industries team at the Cambridge Campus. The role is part-time (22.5 hours) term-time, with a salary of £12,986–£13,311 per year, equivalent to £24,577–£25,192 full-time.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent
• Willing to work towards this qualification
• Experience with people with special education needs is desirable
• Positive can-do attitude, patient and reliable
• Team player but able to work independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support students with learning difficulties and other disabilities.
• Enable reasonable adjustments to help students engage.
• Mentor students and encourage them to stay on task.
• Model skills so students understand tasks.
• Assist with personal care and health needs.
• Promote college values.
