Job summary

Cheshire College South and West is seeking Learning Support Assistants to support learners across various subjects at Crewe Campus. The role includes 1:1 and small group support, note-taking and helping students access lessons with inclusive teaching strategies.

Hours are varied and part-time, term-time only, with a pro-rata salary. Applicants should have Level 2 qualification, strong English/ Maths, DBS clearance, and a commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate clearly with learners and staff.
• Experience supporting learners with SEN and applying inclusive strategies.
• Good digital literacy and confidence using educational tools.

Responsibilities

• Note-taking and demonstrating tasks.
• Explaining steps to complete a task set by the teacher.
• Joining college trips to support learners.
• Meeting and greeting learners and helping them transfer to lessons.
• Using support strategies to keep learners focused on learning.
• Creating or adapting materials to help learners access learning.
