Job summary

Chichester College Group is seeking a Learning Assistant to support students across the college in a term-time, flexible pattern. You will help with studies, promote inclusion and confidence, and work in classrooms or workshops to provide one-on-one or small-group support.

You will gain experience in safeguarding, confidential practice, and working with diverse learners, including those with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students, particularly those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
• Ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a confidential manner.
• Knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, supportive relationships with students, helping them with their studies across the college and promoting inclusion, independence and confidence.
• Provide one on one or group support in a classroom or workshop setting.
• Assist with personal care and administering medication where needed.
• Ensure students have a rewarding and fulfilling experience at college.
