Job summary

South Tyneside Council is advertising for a Learning Resource Centre Co-ordinator at Jarrow School in South Tyneside. The role is 37 hours per week, term time only, with a pro rata salary reflecting £34,811 per annum or £29,522 actual for the period worked.

The successful candidate will manage, develop and promote the Learning Resource Centre and deliver Accelerated Reader or literacy resources, working with our primary schools as required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in either a library or an educational establishment.
• Commitment to the support and development of young people.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure and other pre-employment checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop and promote the Learning Resource Centre.
• Organise and deliver Accelerated Reader and/or other literacy resources in the school.
• Work with primary schools mentioned by the postholder.
