Job summary

Frome Community College is seeking a Learning Mentor to support students with pastoral, academic and general administrative enquiries. You will be a first point of contact for parents and carers and work to implement targeted interventions.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:15pm during term time plus inset days. Salary is Grade 3 Points 5–7 (£26,427–£27,274 per annum, pro rata) with an actual salary in the lower range (£19,176–£19,791).

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people in educational settings.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and manage data.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver targeted interventions for individuals and small groups.
• Support classroom strategies and Refocus Room initiatives.
• Maintain intervention and attendance records; administer pastoral detention system.
