Job summary

Frome Community College is seeking a Learning Mentor to join our Pastoral team, delivering targeted interventions and supporting students in the classroom and Refocus Room, with a focus on pastoral and administrative duties.

Working 31.25 hours per week during term time plus inset days, you will maintain accurate records, communicate with parents and carers, and contribute to a supportive school environment. Start date ASAP; permanent appointment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and empathy when engaging with students, parents and staff.
• Excellent organisational ability with attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Ability to work as part of a pastoral team and support a range of interventions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver targeted interventions for students, individually or in small groups.
• Support strategies in the classroom and in the Refocus Room.
• Maintain accurate intervention and attendance records; administer pastoral detention system.
