Job summary

Wild Berry Associates is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support a busy school kitchen in Croydon during term time. The role is 25 hours per week, with ongoing, long-term employment potential.

You will help maintain cleanliness, wash dishes, and assist with basic food preparation, contributing to smooth service periods. DBS clearance is required, and training for hygiene is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or catering environment is desirable but not essential.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene (training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, equipment and utensils.
• Wash dishes, trays, and catering equipment promptly during and after service.
• Assist with basic food preparation (e.g. washing, peeling, portioning).
• Support the catering team during service period as required.
