Job summary

Chartwells Independent is hiring Kitchen Porters for school term-time casual roles across CV22 6QU and CV22 5DZ. You will support the kitchen and front-of-house teams, maintain high hygiene standards, and assist with mise-en-place and service in a busy school catering environment.

Shifts are Monday–Sunday with varied hours, including early and late starts, and pay £12.71 per hour. Experience is welcome but training is provided; DBS checks are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospitality or catering role.
• Ability to stay calm during busy periods.
• Confident when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Strong teamwork and reliability.
• Friendly, outgoing personality; welcoming to guests.
• Must be comfortable standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with kitchen and service areas, keeping them clean and tidy.
• Polish and wash cutlery, crockery and glassware as required.
• Support setup and clear down of work areas for each service.
• Adhere to health, safety and COSHH policies.
