Trerobart Primary School in Pontypridd is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 4) to cover planning, preparation and assessment across the school. This temporary post supports the Foundation Phase and Curriculum for Wales progression, with a strong focus on enabling every pupil to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will plan, deliver and monitor learning activities, working with staff and parents to foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant Level 4 or equivalent.
  • Sound understanding of foundation phase principles and Curriculum for Wales progression.

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality learning activities for the pupils.

Temporary Teaching Assistant (Level 4)

Hours: 13 Hours per week - Term Time Only

Salary: Grade 7 - £31,022 x 30.86%

Start date: As soon as possible

Contract: Until 31 st August 2027

The Governing Body of Trerobart Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 4). This role will involve covering planning, preparation, and assessment of time across the school. The candidate should have a sound understanding of foundation phase principles as well as the progression steps for Curriculum for Wales and have a commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage teaching assistants effectively.
  • Work closely with parents and the wider community, conducting parent workshops, meetings and reports.
