Job summary

Academics in Bromley is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support learning across KS1 and KS2 from October 2026. The role involves 1:1 support, small group work and occasional whole-class leading under supervision.

The ideal candidate will hold HLTA experience or qualifications, possess strong classroom management and communication skills, and hold a fully enhanced DBS (Update Service) or be willing to apply for one.

Qualifications

• HLTA experience or relevant qualifications.
• Experience across KS1 and KS2.
• Ability to support pupils 1:1, in groups and whole-class settings.
• Flexible, enthusiastic and adaptable to different needs.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Committed to pupil learning, progress and wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to apply for new DBS.
