Job summary

Downe Primary School in Greater London seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the EYFS team on a term-time basis. The role runs 39 weeks per year, 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, supporting early years learners with a focus on creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Class teacher and Lead Teaching Assistant, contributing to high standards of teaching and learning and helping to track pupil progress throughout

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant in an EYFS setting is desirable.
• Ability to work under supervision to maintain classroom standards.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a good or outstanding classroom TA practitioner.
• Support teaching and learning under the supervision of the Class teacher and Lead Teaching Assistant.
• Maintain and raise standards under supervision.
• Track performance of specified groups of pupils.
• Lead by example to motivate and collaborate with others.
