Job summary

Downe Primary School in Greater London seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the EYFS team on a term-time basis. The role runs 39 weeks per year, 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, supporting early years learners with a focus on creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Class teacher and Lead Teaching Assistant, contributing to high standards of teaching and learning and helping to track pupil progress throughout

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant in an EYFS setting is desirable.
• Ability to work under supervision to maintain classroom standards.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

The headteacher and his senior leadership team are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their EYFS team at Downe Primary School. This is a term time only role working 39 weeks per year, 25 hours a week, Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuous improvement of teaching and learning under the supervision of the Class teacher and Lead Teaching assistant.
• Maintaining and raising standards under the supervision of the Class teacher and Lead Teaching Assistant.
• Tracking performance of specified groups of pupil.
• Leading by example to motivate and work with others.
