Job summary

West Town Primary Academy is seeking a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join its supportive team. You will provide one-to-one and group support, adapt resources, and help make learning engaging across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.

You will work closely with the SENDCo and SEND team to create the best possible opportunities, while developing professionally in a school that values its staff and encourages flexible, creative approaches to teaching.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths at grade C or above.
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND or behavior needs is beneficial.
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Adaptable and able to take on new ideas quickly.
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils.
• Adapt teaching resources and develop engaging learning activities.
• Be creative in approaches to help pupils learn and progress.
• Work with the SENDCo and SEND team to maximise learning opportunities.
