Job summary

Teach Plus is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Newham to recruit a Nursery Practitioner for an ASAP start. The role focuses on supporting early years development through play-based learning in a safe, nurturing environment.

The successful candidate will work with experienced staff to support communication, language and social development, while building positive relationships with children and parents. Term-time only position with daily rate of £108–£115.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years/Nursery qualification (desirable).
• Experience in nursery or early years setting.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Caring, patient and nurturing approach.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player with ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• DBS on Update Service desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support children within the nursery classroom throughout the school day.
• Assist with learning activities and play-based provision.
• Support children's communication, language and social development.
• Encourage independence and positive behaviour.
• Create a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider early years team.
• Observe and contribute to children's development and progress.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.
