Job summary

Oakfields Preparatory School in Upminster is seeking an experienced Nursery Assistant Practitioner to join our Early Years team. You will help deliver engaging learning experiences for children aged 2–5, support safeguarding, and work alongside the Nursery Supervisor to maintain a safe, nurturing environment.

The role requires Level 3+ Early Years qualification and EYFS experience; First Aid is advantageous. Permanent, term-time hours 8:00–4:00, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years qualification (essential).
• EYFS experience with children aged 2-5 (essential).
• Strong commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and KCSIE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a professional Early Years team (ages 2-5).
• Support the Nursery Supervisor and colleagues daily.
• Uphold safeguarding and welfare procedures at all times.
• Participate in training and planning.
• Prepare and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Support outdoor play and independent learning.

Education

Level 3+ Early Years qualification
