Job summary

Family Action in Peterborough is offering a part-time, term-time only role as a Pre-school Assistant to support young children in one of our early years settings. You will work across two shifts, totalling 15–18.75 hours per week, during 38 weeks per year, with a 6-month fixed-term contract starting January 2027 and potential to become permanent.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2+ early years qualification or working towards it.
• Experience supporting young children with their learning through play.

Responsibilities

• Work within a small team to always deliver excellent practice.
• Support with early identification and interventions for children requiring additional developmental support.
• Understand the importance of safeguarding within your role.
• Hold responsibility for a key group of children and progress their learning and development.
