Job summary

Teachers UK is seeking a confident and reliable Secondary School Cover Supervisor for the East Midlands to cover long-term and day-to-day placements. Based in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire or Leicestershire, you will deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain classroom routines across subjects.

You will work with support from a dedicated consultant, with access to CPD opportunities and weekly PAYE. An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with working with young people is desirable.
• Confident in managing a classroom independently.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Proactive and adaptable approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour.
• Support a positive and structured learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
