Job summary

TimePlan Education in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a highly organized Cover Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations during term time. The role involves planning and coordinating staff absences, maintaining records and communicating arrangements clearly.

You will support learning, deliver pre-prepared sessions when required, and work closely with the management team to provide a calm, well-managed environment.

Qualifications

• Organised with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Reliable, flexible and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in a cover, coordination, education or supervisory role advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily staff cover for planned and unplanned absences.
• Allocate appropriate cover and communicate arrangements clearly to staff.
• Maintain accurate records of staff availability, absences and cover requirements.
• Respond quickly and effectively to last-minute staffing changes.
• Work closely with the management team to ensure operational continuity.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons or sessions when required.
• Support and facilitate learning across a range of subjects/classes.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, professionalism and engagement.
• Build positive working relationships with staff and those taking part in sessions.
• Ensure all cover arrangements run smoothly and efficiently.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties associated with the role.
